One Call, One Company, One Relationship

LawnWorks was established over 20 years ago and we have developed an excellent reputation by treating each client's project as if it were our own. We not only design and install landscapes, but we design and implement the final grade, irrigation, drainage, hardscape, planting, and exterior lighting. Just as importantly as the initial installation, our maintenance teams provide the necessary upkeep to your landscape for years of enjoyment.

Our core clients want one service provider to handle all facets of their landscaping needs and wants. These clients will always be our first priority. We are big enough to serve you, but small enough to know you.

LEGEND

  • Design

Consultation, CAD drawings and a plan built around your budget.

  • Build

Planting, hardscape, irrigation and lighting by our installation crews.

  • Maintain

Weekly and bi-weekly care so the garden matures the way it was drawn.

Our core values, reinforced daily in our morning huddles:

Integrity. Craftsmanship. Commitment.

Every garden starts as a drawing.

We believe in setting expectations for our projects, putting them in detailed plans and quotes and implementing the design exactly as it is drawn. We can provide CAD drawings, photo imaging, as well as an extensive portfolio to help you envision the design, and we design and print large format plans from our own office.

How a project comes together

  • A consultation at your property

Call or email us to set an appointment. Rick comes out, walks the property for a site analysis and asks a lot of questions to find out exactly what will be best suited for your lifestyle and budget.

  • A budget, then a plan

Designing a landscape around a budget allows us to provide a plan that will not exceed your budget and typically have several phases. We build projects from $1,000 to $300,000.

  • Your design and quote

A complex landscape design takes about 1 week. A simple quote for enhancements usually arrives within 24-48 hours of your first call.

“I will come out (on time) and meet with you and discuss your plant preferences and landscape tastes, advise you on what I think would add appeal to your property, and determine a budget for your landscaping project. 90% of my quotes have a 24 hour turn around. CAD drawings may be slightly longer.”

Rick Wallace, owner and lead designer

With over 20 years of experience, we are keenly aware of which plant types are best suited for our climate in Macon and Warner Robins. We regularly try new plant varieties as they become available from Monrovia, Southern Living, Proven Winners and First Editions. We have a unique vision for every property.

Several years ago, while on my way to an appointment, I passed a yard that really caught my eye. I liked it so much that I brought my wife back later in the day to see how nice it was. We had recently added a gate and some brick work to our yard and needed to install landscaping around it. Luckily, there was a small sign in the corner of the yard and that's how I came to call on LawnWorks.

From my first interaction with Mr. Wallace, I have been extremely pleased. Rick was very punctual for our initial consultation. He listened to the ideas we had and had several suggestions of his own. The installation was done in a very professional and timely manner and the plants were very healthy and full.

We have been using LawnWorks for many years, multiple times each year to plant our seasonal flower beds and install trees and bushes. We hope to add an outdoor fireplace to our backyard soon and will definitely be calling on Rick's expertise to help us come up with a plan that will compliment our home. From the planning stages to installation, LawnWorks is a great company to work with.

I highly recommend LawnWorks to anyone who wants to have excellent results and customer care. I have had the pleasure of working with the owners and operational leader of LawnWorks and have experienced their passion for their work and serving their customers well. The owners, leaders and crew from LawnWorks take time to be a family and have great working relationships. Because they not only love what they do and are competent and skilled in their trade, they enjoy working and being together. Values of hard work, going the extra mile and superior quality of work means that customers get amazing results when they trust LawnWorks for their landscaping needs.

I would rate Lawn Works 10 stars if I could. They have completed 2 major projects for us. They totally landscaped our front yard and then replaced our driveway and side walk. The quality of their work is second to none. I can not say enough about his crew, completely professional and knowledgeable. They take pride in their work and the results are testament to that. I highly recommend Rick Wallace and his company.

1 year on hardscape, exterior lighting and irrigation. We have serviced many of our clients for over a decade.

Questions we hear often

Anything else, call the office at (478) 972-1014.

Is the owner actively involved?

Yes. Rick Wallace is a self-proclaimed workaholic that has a passion for his business and has a constant dissatisfaction for the status quo. He is the primary salesperson and landscape designer for LawnWorks.

How does the process work to get a quote on landscaping for my home?

After calling our office, we will schedule a consultation at your property for a site analysis. Be prepared for a lot of questions. Our goal is to find out exactly what will be best suited for your lifestyle and budget. We will determine if you need a CAD landscape plan drawn or if a simple written quote is needed. Our turnaround time on a complex landscape design is about 1 week and a simple quote for enhancements is usually completed within 24-48 hours of your initial phone call.

Do I need to have a budget in mind for my project?

Yes. We require you to have a budget before drawing up a landscape plan. Designing a landscape around a budget allows us to provide a plan that will not exceed your budget and typically have several phases.

How much will it cost me to hire your company?

This all depends on the services you desire. We are a legitimate year round company with well trained, legal and fully insured employees. To find out more, give us a call.

Are you a licensed Landscaper? Are you insured?

Yes, we hold all the necessary State Licenses for Georgia. We are covered for workers compensation, liability and motor vehicle.

Who will work on my property?

Well trained, supervised personnel with the proper equipment. All employees wear a company uniform, and our goal is to always have at least one English-speaking crew leader on every site. All company employees who drive a motor vehicle are in a random drug & alcohol-testing program.

What is the best day to have my property maintained?

The best days to have your property maintained are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays for homeowners (Monday for corporate clients). Except for approximately 6-8 weeks in the Spring when turf is at its peak growth, there is very little difference in cut appearance come the weekend.

I'm having an event or party, can you pay special attention at my property?

Please let us know 7-10 days ahead and we will provide weekly service the day before your party. With 14 days notification we can also provide a detail crew service, mulch, pruning and seasonal color so that your property will look its best before your big day!

At what height do you cut the lawn, and do you catch the clippings?

From late April to late November we use a 2-3″ mowing height depending on how level your lawn is. Wherever and whenever we can we recycle the clippings back to the turf, as grass blades and leaves are the very best compost for building long-term highly organic soil. We sharpen our blades on average about every 12 to 15 working hours.

How often should I water?

Turf grass should be watered 1″ per week. Annual and perennials should be watered 2-3 times per week. This answer is for established landscapes.

Do you provide commercial grounds maintenance service?

Our speciality is residential grounds, but we do and have done commercial grounds maintenance. We try to schedule our business clients early in the week and our residential clients are scheduled Tuesday through Friday.

Will LawnWorks actually fulfill their warranty commitments?

Yes. We want to build lasting relationship with our clients that will last decades and that means fulfilling our contractual obligations. We have serviced many of our clients for over a decade.

Do you need help with your landscape project?

You've come to the right place. Simply complete this form, or give us a call, and we'll be happy to help you.
